The wait is finally over!

Nope. You're not imagining this, it's really happening. I'm actually updating my blog!!! I figured that today's (yes, today's) premiere would be an appropriate event for me to take on this amazing task.

It's very possible that by the time a lot of you will find this new blog entry, "Path of Revelation, Part One" will already be available, as we'll be releasing episodes a little earlier for the time being. Now, what can I say about the episode without saying too much? As some of you probably already know, "Path of Revelation, Parts One and Two" were initially one episode, called "The Chamber". Due to various reasons, that didn't work out, and the story ended up being expanded into a two parter (or a three parter with "The Devil To Pay"). There's lots of things that were added, but mainly in part two. Things to look forward to this week: some great moments between Colonel Grant and General Williams, a surprising discovery inside the chamber in Malaysia (as if the discovery of the chamber itself wasn't surprising enough already), a brand new Earth battle cruiser, the Bellerophon (some great concept art is available on the Horizon forum), and lots more.

I've recorded a podcast for this episode earlier this week. Yes, you've read correctly - a podcast! The podcasts have finally returned after about a year!!! I hope it will be up very soon. I'd like to release it with the episode; however, there was a problem with uploading it, and I'll have to wait for Sam to get back to me. However, you can expect podcasts on a regular basis from now on. I'll be doing my best to have one for each of the upcoming episodes over the coming weeks. There's so much to say about each of them.

Well, we're now working toward the end of the season. Things are going very fast. We're already outlining episode 2.22. Drafts have been or are being written up to 2.21. We're doing very good with regard to the schedule. Time has really been flying by. And while the second half of the season is just starting to air, for us behind the scenes the main chunk of work on Season Two will be completed in a mere matter of weeks. Then, some brief time to recharge, and... on to Season Three. There hasn't been an official renewal announcement just yet, but my various sources tell me it's looking very promising. What sources you ask? I can't go into that. Seriously.

24 has been pretty amazing this season. It's always great, and while I don't have any favorite season because I like them all for different reasons, I am starting to think that Season Five has been the most intense so far. I won't give away spoilers here, but I will say there's one twist following the other. And while it's always torture having to wait an entire week for the next episode, I keep telling myself that we need to enjoy this right now, as after May we'll most likely be waiting seven months again for Season Six. But of course there'll be the first five seasons to rewatch, and rewatch, and rewatch, and so on and so on.

Well, that's about it for now. It's late (or early actually) and pretty soon I'll be uploading the new episode. Can't wait to see some reviews, comments and reactions. I hope we'll be seeing some more detailed reviews (perhaps in the way people were commenting on the pilot). So, make sure to let us know what you thought.

By the way, a few weeks back I was hoping that I might make it to the Vancouver convention this week. Didn't work out unfortunately, due to the fact that I started a new job just recently, and wouldn't have been able to get the week off. But I'm planning too make next year work no matter what. Peter, our concept artist, is there this week. So, you can actually find someone from our little show up there.

Anyway. Look forward to seeing your reactions to the mid season premiere.

Until next time,
Alex
